The City of Pickering has achieved its tenth consecutive clean audit following the independent review of the City's 2025 consolidated financial statements, conducted by Deloitte.
A clean audit means the City is in a healthy, strong financial position with the ability to meet its financial commitments, the City says. Ten consecutive clean audits demonstrate a consistent record of financial reporting, independent oversight and strong internal controls.
The City's Finance Department said the milestone reflects its Corporate Strategic Plan commitments to good governance, transparency and stewardship of public funds. The City announced the result on October 23, 2026, via its official Instagram account.
