The Oshawa Generals lost their second straight game, falling 5-2 to the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday night at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston, the Generals said in their game recap.
Kingston led 1-0 after the first period on a power-play goal by Adam Goljer, whose slapshot sailed over the net, off the glass and the roof of the goal, and off goaltender Matthew Humphries' arm before going in. Robin Kuzma scored shorthanded in the second period, his sixth goal of the season, to make it 2-0.
Oshawa broke through just under a minute into the third period on Caden Taylor's third goal of the season, and Tyler Hinde scored shorthanded, his eighth of the season and a point in his seventh straight game, to tie it 2-2. Kingston answered with goals from Nolan Buttar, Nolan Snyder on the power play, and Cole Zurawski to close out the 5-2 win.
The Generals were hurt by penalties, giving Kingston eight power-play opportunities, and managed just 11 shots on goal through two periods. Oshawa next plays at home against the Brantford Bulldogs on Sunday night at 6:05 p.m.
