The City of Oshawa has opened nominations for its 2027 Community Awards, which recognize community members, businesses and organizations. Nominations are due December 4.
Categories include the Accessibility Improvement Award, the Citizen Volunteer Award and the Community Legend Award. The volunteer category recognizes people who have served with an organization or agency for at least five years.
The Culture Counts Award recognizes creative and cultural achievements and includes Professional Artist, Emerging Artist, and Innovation and Creation Champion categories. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champions Award includes individual, youth, organization and business categories.
Oshawa City Council is expected to present the awards at a Council meeting in spring 2027. The Awards page has eligibility requirements and the nomination form.
