Durham Regional Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a break-and-enter investigation in Clarington, police say.

Police say the suspect attended Bowmanville Mall, at 243 King Street East in Clarington, during the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Police say the suspect forced entry through a rear maintenance door, got inside the building, broke into a business and stole merchandise and cash.

Members of the Central East Criminal Investigations Branch are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. Police describe the suspect as a man approximately 30 years old, wearing a black hat with the word 'Security' on it, a yellow construction jacket and a black face covering.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Fyfe of the Central East Criminal Investigations Branch at 905-579-1520, ext. 1705, police say. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrest has been announced.
