Construction is ongoing at West Side Drive and Baseline Road in Bowmanville as crews work to install traffic signals, the Municipality of Clarington says in a notice dated October 26, 2026.

The work includes installing traffic poles, traffic signals, electrical conduit and equipment, removing and replacing concrete sidewalk, line painting and boulevard restoration. West Side Drive and Baseline Road may experience lane reductions and short-term closures during construction, and traffic may be delayed.

Construction is expected to finish by the end of November, with some work extending into spring 2027. Timelines are approximate and will vary depending on weather and other factors, and the project supports changing traffic patterns surrounding the new Bowmanville Community Complex.
