Voting for Clarington's 2026 municipal elections opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, and runs until 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26, the Municipality of Clarington announced.
Eligible electors can cast their ballots online or by telephone, and Election Assistance Centres will operate across the municipality throughout the voting period for voters who need help, a PIN, or access to a device. The schedule includes recreation complexes in Bowmanville, Courtice and Newcastle, Clarington Public Library branches, and community halls, with extended hours on election day, October 26.
Voter Information Letters containing PINs were mailed to eligible electors in early October. Anyone who did not receive one can add themselves to the voters' list at an Election Assistance Centre, the Municipal Administrative Centre in Bowmanville, or any Clarington Public Library branch, with identification showing their name, address and date of birth.
Ballots will include candidates for mayor, regional councillor, local councillor and school board trustee, depending on the voter's address and school support. Special voting locations will also serve residents of retirement residences, long-term care homes and Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.
