Henry Roach, a 15-month-old from Bowmanville, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Baby of the Year competition, his father Kevin Roach told Daily Durham.

Born June 22, 2025, Henry has made it through several rounds of voting since the competition began with thousands of groups. The quarterfinals run October 12 to 22, followed by the semifinals October 23 to 29 and the finals October 30 to November 5. The overall winner is expected to be announced by December 5.

Voting is free, once per day, at babyoftheyear.org/2026/henry-137e.

Kevin describes his son as a curious, independent and mischievous little guy who keeps parents Kevin and Andrea laughing. The family says they are proud of him and grateful for everyone who has supported him along the way.

The competition also supports Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that provides diapers, clothing and other essentials to children and families experiencing poverty. Donations made through the competition help support the charity's work.
