Durham Region is advising residents about lane restrictions on Liverpool Road (Regional Road 29) in Pickering. The September 22 notice says the work is ongoing until December and that unfavourable weather may affect the schedule.
The southbound curb lane will be restricted from the 401 off-ramp at the Walnut Lane extension to Pickering Parkway. The intersection of Liverpool Road and Pickering Parkway will also be affected throughout the project.
The work includes road widening, traffic signal modifications and turn-lane work in support of a new development, the Region says.
Drivers are asked to use caution around pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Durham Region directs motorists to TrafficWatch for an interactive traffic map.
