Durham Regional Police Service has invited the public to mark Crime Prevention Week in Durham Region starting Nov. 2, 2026, under the theme "Protecting Ontario Together," sharing tips for keeping people and their property safe through the week.

The DRPS Crime Prevention Week information booth runs Monday, Nov. 2 to Friday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Shops at Pickering City Centre, 1355 Kingston Rd. in Pickering, on the main level near the escalators to the Food Court. Visitors are asked to use Entrance 2 on the north side of the mall and proceed south toward the escalators.

Durham police say they will highlight five priorities identified by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and its Community Safety and Crime Prevention Committee: cyber crimes, retail crime, social disorder, hate crimes and intimate partner violence. Crime Prevention Week is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and the Government of Ontario.
