Eliya, age two, spent her birthday on Saturday, October 24, at Sick Kids in Toronto, according to a Durham Post report citing friends of the family. She was one of five children under three and a daycare worker hit during a morning daycare class walk in Oshawa on Wednesday, October 21, at about 9:20 a.m., and was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Friends told Durham Post that Eliya is being cared for in the intensive care unit at Sick Kids. She is the daughter of Keiko and Aaron, who also welcomed a son, Reuel, about two weeks earlier, the report said.
