Oshawa: 2026 Walk of Fame inductees announced, gala set for Nov. 5

The Oshawa Walk of Fame organizing committee has announced five 2026 inductees: Olympic gold medallist and soccer star Allysha Chapman, scientist Donald Sadoway, musicians Dennis Edmonton, better known as Mars Bonfire, and his late brother Jerry Edmonton, and the Auxiliary of Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

The inductees will be enshrined in the downtown sidewalk next summer, with the stones set in June. The Walk of Fame is located at the four corners of King Street West and Simcoe Street North in downtown Oshawa.

A gala will be held November 5 at the Jubilee Pavilion, where attendees can meet the living inductees. Individual tickets including dinner are $150 each, and a table for eight is $1,100, with proceeds beyond operational costs going to the Rotary Club of Oshawa.
