Generals head to Peterborough for rivalry game tonight, host Petes Friday

The Oshawa Generals head to Peterborough for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop against the Petes tonight, looking to snap a three-game losing streak in junior hockey's oldest rivalry; the Gens host Peterborough at home tomorrow.

The Oshawa Generals travel to Peterborough tonight to take on the Petes, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m.

The Generals are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to the Kitchener Rangers last Sunday. That loss extended the Gens' losing streak to three games, after back-to-back overtime losses in the two games before.

Peterborough will try to extend its winning streak to three games, coming off a 6-0 win over the Barrie Colts last Saturday. Last season the Generals struggled against their arch-rivals, going 2-6 in the season series.

Oshawa's player to watch is defenceman Leo Laschon, who picked up four points in his last three games against the Petes last season. The Gens have gotten just three of their 30 goals this season from defencemen.

For the Petes, all eyes will be on Adam Novotny, the Vancouver Canucks first-round pick who went 24th overall in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. Novotny has seven goals and nine assists in 10 games, coming off a five-point night that included a hat trick against the Colts last Saturday.

The Generals are back home against the Petes tomorrow, October 23.
