Voters in Oshawa's 2026 municipal election who prefer to cast a paper ballot may do so on Voting Day, Monday, October 26, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at a Voter Assistance Centre in their ward. Paper ballots are only available on Voting Day.

Voters are reminded to bring the Voter Information Letter mailed to them and an acceptable piece of ID. Those who misplaced or never received their letter can still vote by bringing acceptable ID.

Election officials at Voter Assistance Centres can also help voters cast an online ballot using a City-provided device. Online voting remains available 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on October 26, but voter registration must be completed no later than 6 p.m. on Voting Day to vote online.

Proxy voting is available only with a paper ballot, and therefore only on Voting Day. A voter must be on the Voters' List to appoint a proxy; the proxy appointment form is picked up and certified at the City Hall Voter Assistance Centre at 50 Centre St. S. Details are at voteoshawa.ca.
