The Durham District School Board says it is undertaking a boundary review during the 2026-2027 school year to establish a permanent attendance area for the future Unnamed Oshawa Whitelaw Public School, in east Oshawa.

As part of the process, the board says two proposed boundary scenarios are being shared for community input, and families and community members can review the full Boundary Review Information Report in the Document Library on the board's Engage DDSB platform for the school.

The board says the new school was approved through the Ministry of Education's 2025 Capital Priorities program, is currently under construction on a 5.97-acre site, and is scheduled to welcome students in fall 2027. It will serve junior kindergarten to Grade 8, with a Ministry rated capacity of 634 students, the board says.

The board's boundary reviews page directs families to the Engage DDSB platform at engageddsb.ca/owps for full details and registration.
