Durham Region waste-management locations will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, according to the Region of Durham.
The closure includes the Oshawa, Scugog and Brock waste-management facilities, the Clarington Household Special Waste Depot and the Waste Management Centre in Whitby. The Region listed each location in its public service announcement.
Residents can still order or exchange green-bin and kitchen containers online with free home delivery. The Region directs residents to its service-disruptions page for updates during the year.
