Durham Regional Police Service will officially launch 2026 Police Week at Oshawa Centre on Monday, May 11.
Police Week runs from May 10 to 16, and this year's theme is Protecting Ontario through Service.
DRPS says the public awareness campaign is meant to build connections between police and the communities they serve, as well as with other police services, first responders, organizations, and residents.
Officers from the DRPS Community Safety Unit will host an information booth at Oshawa Centre from Monday, May 11, through Thursday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The booth will be located on the upper level near Old Navy at 419 King Street West. DRPS says vintage cruisers will be on display, and the booth will include giveaways and information.
The official launch is scheduled for Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. DRPS says Police Week posts will also be shared on its social media accounts using the #PoliceWeekON hashtag.
