Durham Regional Police Service will launch its 2026 Police Week outreach campaign at Oshawa Centre on Monday, May 11.

Police Week runs from May 10 to May 16 across Ontario. The 2026 theme is Protecting Ontario through Service, with a focus on the role police services play in local communities and the partnerships they rely on with residents, first responders, and community organizations.

DRPS said its Community Safety Unit will host an information booth at Oshawa Centre from Monday, May 11, through Thursday, May 14. The booth is scheduled to operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

The display will be located on the upper level near Old Navy at 419 King Street West. DRPS said visitors can expect vintage cruisers, giveaways, and information about police services and public safety.

The campaign is intended to create direct connections between police and the communities they serve. DRPS said officers and participating agencies will also use social media during the week to share Police Week updates.

Residents with questions about the Police Week launch can contact DRPS media relations through the number and email listed in the official release.
