The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is inviting members of its learning community to share the names of veterans, active service members or military personnel whose service and sacrifice they will remember this November. The board says the tribute honours the more than 2.3 million Canadians who have served, and continue to serve, in times of war, conflict and peace.

Submitted names will be displayed on the DCDSB website and on the digital sign outside the Catholic Education Centre at 650 Rossland Rd. W. in Oshawa from November 8 to 12, 2026. Anyone wishing to take part must complete the board's online form by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

The tribute period covers Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8 and Remembrance Day on November 11. DCDSB says students and staff will also take part in prayer services, liturgies, learning opportunities and remembrance activities across its schools.
