Unofficial results from the October 26, 2026 municipal election show Marilyn Crawford ahead in Ajax, Mike Jubb in Brock, Tom Dingwall in Clarington, Tito-Dante Marimpietri in Oshawa, Kevin Ashe in Pickering, Ian McDougall in Scugog, Dave Barton in Uxbridge and Elizabeth Roy in Whitby. These are the leaders in the municipalities’ published tallies, not a claim that every result has been certified.

Ajax: Marilyn Crawford led the mayoral tally with 19,763 votes, or 61.0 per cent, according to the Town of Ajax's unofficial results. Ashmeed Khan finished second with 6,615 votes (20.4 per cent), followed by Richard Hinds with 3,296 votes (10.2 per cent), Carion Fenn with 2,242 votes (6.9 per cent) and Vian Persad with 473 votes (1.5 per cent). Brock: Michael (Mike) Jubb received 3,994 votes and Brenda Thyne received 399 in the township’s full unofficial tally. Jubb’s share was 90.9 per cent of the 4,393 votes recorded for mayoral candidates, calculated by Daily Durham. The township’s announcement identifies Jubb as elected, while stating that the clerk’s certificate will follow. Across the election, 4,487 electors voted, a turnout of 40.5 per cent.

Clarington: Tom Dingwall led the mayoral tally with 15,273 votes, or 53.1 per cent, defeating Adrian Foster, who received 13,498 votes, or 46.9 per cent, according to the municipality's unofficial results. A total of 29,520 electors participated, a turnout of 34.0 per cent among 86,879 eligible electors, and 152 electors declined their ballot, the municipality's results page reports.

Oshawa: Tito-Dante Marimpietri leads the mayoral race with 15,400 votes, or 38.3 per cent, according to the City of Oshawa's unofficial results. Jim Lee follows with 8,939 votes (22.2 per cent), Derek Giberson with 6,656 votes (16.5 per cent), Dave Westlake with 5,497 votes (13.7 per cent) and Henry Onwuachu with 1,714 votes (4.3 per cent). Sherland Chhangur received 675 votes (1.7 per cent), Michael Coons 648 votes (1.6 per cent), Jeremy Large 547 votes (1.4 per cent) and Joseph Tomlins 180 votes (0.4 per cent). All 27 tabulator locations have reported, and turnout was 26.92 per cent, with 40,718 of 151,269 electors voting. The tally marks Marimpietri as leading, and the results remain unofficial and subject to change.

Pickering: Kevin Ashe leads the mayoral race with 13,038 votes, or 36.5 per cent, in the City of Pickering's complete unofficial results, with all six tabulators closed. Lisa Robinson follows with 8,867 votes (24.8 per cent), Janice Frampton with 4,917 votes (13.8 per cent), Doug Cornell with 3,479 votes (9.7 per cent), Shaun Rickard with 3,301 votes (9.2 per cent), Zargham Rasool with 1,482 votes (4.1 per cent) and Andrea Wood with 654 votes (1.8 per cent). The city's results page lists Ashe as the leading candidate and labels the results unofficial; the result remains unofficial pending certification.

Scugog: Ian McDougall was marked elected with 3,326 votes, or 39.4 per cent of the 8,450 votes cast, according to the township's unofficial results, which mark McDougall as elected. Mike Coll received 1,971 votes, Wilma Wotten 1,673, Jack Doak 1,044, David Whitfield 369 and Charles Deane 67. Turnout was 41.3 per cent.

Uxbridge: Dave Barton led the mayoral tally with 5,881 votes, or 64.2 per cent, according to the township's unofficial results. Ian Giffin received 1,967 votes (21.5 per cent) and Ted Eng 1,310 votes (14.3 per cent). Turnout was 49.4 per cent, with 9,268 of 18,771 eligible electors voting.

Whitby: Elizabeth Roy led the mayoral tally with 19,177 votes, or 51.87 per cent, according to the town's unofficial results. Chris Leahy received 16,122 votes (43.60 per cent) and Harshini Rajmohan 1,674 votes (4.53 per cent). A total of 37,267 ballots were cast, a turnout of 31.12 per cent among 119,763 eligible voters, with all 63 tabulators reporting.

All figures above are unofficial results checked on October 27. Oshawa reports all 27 tabulator locations; Pickering reports all six tabulators closed and online voting tallied; Whitby reports all 63 tabulators. A complete count can still change before certification. Turnout is municipality-wide participation, while a candidate’s vote share uses votes in that contest; abstentions and declined ballots can make those totals differ.

There is no single Durham-wide mayoral race. The Region’s April 2 governance statement says the regional chair will be appointed rather than elected by residents. The eight municipal races should not be combined into a region-wide winning vote total, and their turnout percentages should not be averaged to describe regional turnout.
