Durham Regional Police Service is asking for public help locating Cairo, a 14-year-old boy reported missing from Courtice. Police say he was last seen at about 8 p.m. on September 21, 2026, near Nash Road and Old Varcoe Road, and had not been seen or heard from when DRPS issued its September 28 notice.
DRPS describes Cairo as Black with a light complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, slim build and black hair in French braids. Police say he was wearing a black baseball cap, glasses, a grey ski mask, a black Nike tracksuit and black Air Jordan shoes. He may have been carrying a lime-green backpack.
Police say they are concerned for his safety. Anyone who knows where Cairo is or has information that could help locate him is asked to call DRPS at 905-579-1520, extension 1605.
