Uxbridge's ward councillor candidates had their own night in the spotlight on Monday, Sept. 21, when the Uxbridge Cosmos hosted an all-candidates forum for ward council hopefuls at the Uxbridge Arena & Community Centre at 7 p.m.

Uxbridge is divided into five wards, each electing one councillor — the representatives closest to neighbourhood-level issues such as roads, parks and local services.

As with the township's main forum a week later, the Cosmos invited residents to hear from the candidates and ask their own questions about what the next four years could hold for their wards and the township.

A recording of the ward councillors forum has been posted to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmnE6O2zYHw

What's next: Uxbridge votes Oct. 26, with online voting from Oct. 13 to 26. Check the voters' list by Oct. 9 at uxbridge.voterservices.ca. In-person assistance is available at town hall, the public library, and community centres in Goodwood (Oct. 15) and Zephyr (Oct. 22).
