Clarington election: watch for your Voter Information Letter; voting Oct 20-26

Clarington's 2026 municipal election runs from 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, with voting online and by telephone over the seven-day period, the municipality says.

Voter Information Letters have been mailed to every eligible elector on the voters' list, containing voting instructions and the unique PIN needed to cast a ballot. Residents who do not receive a letter can add their names to the list at the Municipal Administrative Centre (40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville), any Clarington Public Library branch, or an Election Assistance Centre, bringing identification showing their name, address and date of birth.

Depending on address and school support, ballots cover Mayor, Regional Councillor, Local Councillor and school board trustees. Election Assistance Centres also offer laptops for residents without internet or touch-tone phone access; full details are at clarington.net/Votes.
