Clarington clarifies Newcastle tax sale covers parking space and locker

The Municipality of Clarington has put a parking space and a storage locker at 21 Brookhouse Drive in Newcastle up for sale by public tender, clarifying that the sale does not include condo units.

The Municipality of Clarington has put a parking space and a storage locker at 21 Brookhouse Drive in Newcastle up for sale by public tender, Durham Post reported Tuesday. The address is home to a four-storey condominium building with 78 units.

The municipality issued a statement to the newspaper clarifying what is actually for sale, following earlier Durham Post coverage of Clarington tax-sale listings for properties assessed around $19,000.

Tender details are listed on the Ontario Tax Sales page for Clarington, with tenders due by 3 p.m. on November 4 at 40 Temperance Street in Bowmanville, according to the article.
