Clarington has added three more rural roads to its surface improvement schedule, the municipality announced in an October 5 update. Newly added are Concession Road 3 from Regional Road 42 (Darlington–Clarke Townline) to Mearns Avenue, Solina Road from Baseline Road to Bloor Street, and Rundle Road from Nash Road to 1,910 metres north of Nash Road. The work is expected to last until November 2026.

The program covers drainage improvements, asphalt reclamation, grading, resurfacing and slurry seal treatment. Motorists should expect temporary lane closures, short-term road closures and delays on affected roads, though crews will ensure waste collection and mail delivery are not interrupted. Timelines are approximate and may shift with weather and other factors.
