Bowmanville's annual Applefest will take over historic downtown Bowmanville on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Bowmanville BIA.
The street festival celebrates the apple harvest with local apple growers selling fresh-picked apples, fresh-pressed apple cider, homemade apple pies and crisps, candy apples, cider donuts, and fresh hot apple fritters. An artisan and craft market will also line the streets with handmade goods from local vendors.
Admission and parking are free. A free shuttle bus will run approximately every 15 minutes from Clarington Central Secondary School at 200 Clarington Blvd in Bowmanville; the BIA notes the shuttles are not accessible and directs visitors to the event FAQs for accessible parking information.
