One driver is dead and two others were injured after a three-vehicle collision on Highway 12 north of Brock Concession Road 10 in the Township of Brock on Saturday morning, October 24. Whitby OPP officers were called to the collision at about 6:55 a.m.

Police say each vehicle had only the driver inside. A 23-year-old from Sunderland was pronounced dead at the scene, and police have not released the driver's name. A second driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, and a third driver was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Highway 12 was closed in both directions while police investigated. Police have not said what caused the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. Witnesses or anyone with dash camera footage are asked to contact Whitby OPP at 905-668-3388 or 1-888-310-1122.
