The Town of Ajax has retained Alectra Energy Solutions to replace parts of the buried streetlight system on Danton Court, Pittman Crescent and Bolland Crescent. The Town’s construction notice says work is scheduled to begin the week of October 19, 2026, and is expected to finish by the end of November. The schedule may change because of unforeseen circumstances.
The work includes installing underground ducts and wiring for existing streetlights, replacing poles where required, and cleaning up and restoring affected sites. The Town says residents should expect some construction-related dust, noise and temporary inconvenience.
Traffic controls, including flaggers and signs, will be used to guide pedestrians and vehicles through the work areas, and minor delays are expected. Ajax advises residents to remove irrigation systems, landscaping and other privately owned items from the municipal right-of-way in advance; the Town says it is not responsible for damage to such items there.
If private utility service such as telephone or cable service is affected, the notice asks residents to contact their provider to arrange repairs at no cost. Questions about the project can be directed to Ajax Capital Projects Coordinator Rassle Solaiman at 365-282-6124 or infrastructure@ajax.ca.
