About Oshawa Second Marsh

Oshawa Second Marsh is a 137-hectare coastal wetland in southeast Oshawa. Friends of Second Marsh describe it, together with McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve and Darlington Provincial Park, as part of one of the larger publicly accessible waterfront landscapes in the Greater Toronto Area, and as the largest remaining wetland in the GTA.

A 1.25-kilometre section of the Waterfront Trail runs along the south side of Colonel Sam Drive and the west side of the marsh toward Farewell Street. That section is paved and described as wheelchair accessible. Park on Colonel Sam Drive; the signed entrance is on the right shortly after the display board west of the General Motors headquarters area. There is no published street number.
