Voting in Whitby's 2026 Municipal Election begins Thursday, October 22 and continues through Voting Day, Monday, October 26, the Town of Whitby announced. Eligible voters can cast their ballot in person at any voting location open that day — there is no need to wait until Election Day or vote at a specific location.

From October 22 to 25, voting runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations: the Abilities Centre (1 Jim Flaherty Street), the Brooklin Community Centre and Library (8 Vipond Road), and Town Hall (575 Rossland Road East). On Election Day, Monday, October 26, 19 voting locations across Whitby will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Whitby offers no online or telephone voting — ballots are cast in person only.

Voters must present acceptable identification confirming their name and qualifying Whitby address, such as a driver's licence or utility bill, and are reminded to bring their blue Voter Notification Card to make voting faster. Residents can check or update their information on the Voters' List and find voting locations through the Town's Plan Your Vote tool at whitby.ca/VOTE. Questions can go to the Town's Election Team at elections@whitby.ca or 905-430-4315.
