Whitby is getting a new med spa. Vita Med Spa, at 198 Des Newman Blvd., Unit 1601, begins seeing clients on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with a grand opening event planned for Nov. 26, the spa's publicist told Daily Durham.
The spa was founded by Nancy Albis, a wife and mother of three with 24 years of experience as an aesthetician. Albis founded Maison Blanc Day Spa in Whitby in 2012 and says she has now realized a long-held dream of opening a medical aesthetics destination, according to the spa's publicist.
Vita's website describes it as a wellness destination bringing medical expertise, advanced aesthetics and self-care under one roof. Treatments listed include advanced skin tightening, IPL photofacials, laser hair removal, RF microneedling, laser skin resurfacing, non-invasive radiofrequency skin rejuvenation, and women's and men's wellness services.
Listed hours are Tuesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday to Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the spa is closed Sundays and Mondays. The spa can be found online at vitamedspa.ca and on Instagram at @vitamed.whitby.
