DRT sets temporary stop for Thickson/Rossland closure starting Oct 8

Stop #283 on Thickson Northbound at Rossland closes Thursday, Oct 8 until further notice; riders can use a temporary stop 200 metres south at William Stephenson Drive.

Durham Region Transit says stop #283 — Thickson Northbound at Rossland, south side — will be temporarily closed starting Thursday, October 8, 2026, until further notice, because of construction activity at the Thickson Road and Rossland Road intersection in Whitby.

Route 905 riders can board at a temporary stop about 200 metres south on Thickson Northbound at William Stephenson Drive, or use stop #93185 northbound at 3193 Thickson Road, north of Rossland.

The updated notice was posted October 7 on DRT's service alerts and detours page. Riders with questions can call DRT customer service at 1-866-247-0055.
