The Town of Whitby plans to demolish vacant buildings at 128 Brock Street South and 132-146 Brock Street North. The two projects are intended to proceed together over 12 weeks, weather permitting.

Part of the 132-146 Brock Street North property will be prepared for temporary paid parking to help meet downtown demand and support businesses and visitors. The Town is still considering long-term uses for the properties.

Work will be staged to limit downtown disruption. The notice says residents and businesses can expect noise, dust, construction traffic and occasional sidewalk closures.
