Scugog offers free CPR-C training courses for residents in November

Two St. John Ambulance-led courses on November 7 and 14 are free for Scugog residents aged 18 and over, with 18 spots per session on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Township of Scugog has opened registration for two free CPR-C training courses for residents aged 18 and older, hosted by St. John Ambulance. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre, 1655 Reach Street, and Saturday, November 14 at the Blackstock Recreation Complex, 3340 Church Street.

Each course is capped at 18 participants, with spaces offered on a first-come, first-served basis. According to the township's announcement, the course covers managing an emergency scene, recognizing a heart attack, and responding when someone stops breathing, including CPR for adults, children and infants and two-rescuer CPR. Residents can sign up now through the township's Adults and Older Adults page at scugog.ca.
