The Township of Scugog has contracted Northern Mat & Bridge to replace the Scugog Line 2 culvert, about 1.35 kilometres east of Highway 7/12, with a prefabricated steel modular bridge the week of October 26.

The installation is expected to take about two weeks, weather permitting, including paving of the bridge approaches. The township says the prefabricated design allows for a lower price tag and quicker installation.

The contractor mobilizes October 23, and a road closure will be in effect from Old Simcoe Road to Diamond Side Road starting at 8:00 a.m. on October 26. Local traffic will be maintained, but through traffic will not be permitted through the construction zone.
