DRPS homicide unit investigating sudden death in Port Perry

Durham Regional Police say a man was found dead in the area of Water Street in Port Perry on Tuesday morning, and the homicide unit is now investigating; police say they are releasing very little about the circumstances.

Durham Regional Police say a man is dead and the homicide unit is investigating after officers were called to a sudden death in Port Perry on Tuesday morning.

According to Durham Radio News, officers responded around 8 a.m. to the area of Water Street, where a male was located deceased. Police say they are saying very little about the circumstances surrounding his death.

The homicide unit was contacted and is currently investigating. Police have not released the victim's name or age.
