The City of Pickering and its 55+ Recreation Committee are hosting a 55+ Halloween Dance on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Dorsay Community and Heritage Centre, 2365 Sixth Concession Road, according to the city's official listing. The evening features live music by Two for the Show, with costumes welcome and free snacks and drinks provided.
Tickets are $7.75 each, available in advance only — they will not be sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, the George Ashe Library and Community Centre, the East Shore Community Centre, or the Dorsay Community and Heritage Centre, with a limit of 10 tickets per customer. Debit and credit cards are accepted at all locations; cash is accepted only at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex.
The event is made possible by funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program grant, the city says. It is part of the city's 55+ exclusive events lineup, which also includes a Spooky Movie Night on Oct. 24.
