The John E. Anderson Gallery inside Pickering's Dorsay Community & Heritage Centre is hosting 'A Taste of Science,' an interactive exhibition on loan from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, through Dec. 31, 2026.

The exhibit explores the science behind why food spoils — the role of temperature, oxygen, water and pH — with four interactive stations and an oversized 'pantry' visitors can walk through to discover food preservation techniques.

The gallery, Pickering's first dedicated exhibition space, is at 2365 Sixth Concession Road. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends, and admission is free. Sources: City of Pickering John E. Anderson Gallery page.
