The City of Oshawa says registration for fall swimming lessons and aquatic programs at South Oshawa Pool opens at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 29. Programs are scheduled to begin the week of October 13, following the pool’s reopening after an extensive reconstruction project.
Residents can register through activeOshawa Online or in person at South Oshawa Community Centre, Civic Recreation Complex, Delpark Homes Centre or Donevan Recreation Complex.
Residents who wish to transfer a swimming lesson or aquatic program from another City pool to South Oshawa Pool must complete the transfer request by Friday, October 9, to have transfer fees waived. In-person requests can be made at a City recreation facility; online transfers require registering for the South Oshawa program and submitting a Course Withdrawal and Refund Request Form for the program being left.
Oshawa residents can use South Oshawa Pool for free leisure swimming for the remainder of 2026. Swims are first come, first served and subject to availability and facility capacity; residents must show government-issued identification proving Oshawa residency.
The City directs residents to its South Oshawa Pool page for the leisure-swim schedule, admission requirements and pool rules.
