Oshawa has listed road closures around Lakeview Park for the annual CIBC Run for the Cure, hosted by the Canadian Cancer Society. The City says the restrictions are scheduled for Sunday, October 4, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The affected roads are Lakeview Park Ave. from Ritson Rd. S. to Simcoe St. S.; Simcoe St. S. between Lakeview Park Ave. and Harbour Rd.; Harbour Rd. between Simcoe St. S. and Farewell St.; Valley Dr. between Simcoe St. S. and Ritson Rd. S.; and Ritson Rd. S. The notice does not give a segment for Ritson Rd. S.
Parking lots A, C, D, E and H will be closed during the event. Lot B is designated for accessible parking, while Lots F and G will also remain available. The City identifies the closures as support for the annual fundraising walk and run.
