Lane restrictions are coming to Simcoe Street North in Oshawa, the Region of Durham says.

From Monday, October 26 to Friday, November 20, Simcoe Street North (Regional Road 2) will have lane restrictions from Glovers Road to Niagara Drive. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

The restrictions allow Enbridge Gas to relocate infrastructure in preparation for a pending Region of Durham capital works project. The Region notes that unfavourable weather could affect the work schedule.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution around work crews for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and workers. A live map of construction projects and up-to-date traffic information is available at durham.ca/TrafficWatch.
