St. Patrick Catholic School welcomed members of Jamaica's men's and women's national lacrosse teams during their visit to Oshawa for the 2026 Pan-American (PALA) Sixes Lacrosse Championship.
The tournament is the first step on the road to qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles — a milestone for the international lacrosse community.
The Durham Catholic District School Board says the visit was especially meaningful for students who saw athletes reflecting the diversity of their own communities, reinforcing diversity, representation and belonging in the sport.
