The Durham Catholic District School Board has resolved to dispose of its vacant Father Joseph Venini Catholic Elementary School site in Oshawa, Durham Post reports.

At its board meeting of September 28, the board determined that the property at 120 Glovers Road in Oshawa is not required for current or future board purposes. Trustees declared the site surplus to board needs and authorized staff to proceed with the disposition process under Ontario Regulation 374/23, which governs the acquisition and disposition of school board real property.

The decision applies to the vacant elementary school site only. The board has not announced a buyer or a timeline for the sale.
