Athol Street West in Oshawa will be closed to through traffic between Centre Street North and Simcoe Street North from Wednesday, October 21 until Friday, October 30, for tower crane erection at 39 Athol Street West, the City of Oshawa says. The road will reopen on weekends.

A hard closure will be set up in front of 39 Athol St. during the work, and full access to the Michael Starr building will be maintained. The closure follows an earlier round of daytime closures at the same location on Oct. 15, 16, 19 and 20.

No through access will be available for emergency vehicles during the closure, and road closure and detour signs will be posted to provincial standards. For more information, the city directs residents to Alex Brocca of Viking Tower Crane Services at 437-288-4204.
