In a separate release issued the same day, Durham Regional Police say another Toronto man is wanted in connection with a vehicle financing fraud investigation. Between August 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024, the suspect allegedly used false information to obtain financing for three motor vehicles, and all three vehicles were subsequently exported.

Borislav Ninchov, 34, of Toronto is wanted for Fraud Over $5,000 x3, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking x3, and Disposing of Property to Avoid Creditors x3. Investigators link the alleged scheme to an organized group involved in "criminal tourism."

Police say this is a distinct investigation from the separate vehicle financing fraud case announced Monday involving a 60-year-old Toronto man. Anyone with information is asked to contact the DRPS Financial Crimes Unit or Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The allegations have not been proven in court.
