DCDSB welcomed families to the new school year and said students are expected on Tuesday, September 8.

The board says its 2026-2027 spiritual theme is “Shining Our Light,” inspired by Matthew 5:14-16. DCDSB also introduced Called to Shine, a recognition program for students and staff whose actions reflect the board’s faith-centred theme.

Tentative class placements and timetables are available through Edsby. The board also says Durham Student Transportation Services has released 2026-2027 transportation and route information through its automated phone line and Family Portal.
