The Town of Ajax is hiring and has implemented a new online application system, according to the town's careers page. Applicants need to create a Candidate Home account the first time they apply, and can autofill an application with a resume, reuse a previous application, or enter their details manually.

Job alerts notify candidates when a new opening matches their interests. The town says most positions are posted for about 14 days, with some postings open for three to four weeks to reach a broader applicant pool.

Seasonal positions are posted from February to April, summer student operations roles from November to January, and summer camp and playground positions in November, January and March, according to the town. Only electronic applications are accepted, and a criminal record check dated within six months of the employment offer is required.
