The Town of Ajax is once again making its Grants and Partnerships team available to Ajax organizations applying to the province's 2026-2027 Ontario Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant.
Support is open to Ajax faith-based, cultural, 2SLGBTQQIA+ and First Nations, Inuit, Metis and Urban Indigenous organizations that may need guidance with their applications. Organizations can reach the team at partnerships@ajax.ca.
The grant, first announced in 2021, has provided more than $110 million to over 6,900 faith-based and cultural communities and organizations for safe and secure community spaces. Ontario is investing $12.75 million through the 2026-2027 program.
This year's program has two streams: the Security and Infrastructure stream, supporting security improvements including physical upgrades, cybersecurity and training; and the new Special Projects stream, supporting community-led initiatives focused on preventing hate, education and awareness.
"The Town of Ajax is proud to once again support the Province's Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant... Ajax is for all, and there is no place for hate here," Mayor Shaun Collier said. Applications are due Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 5 p.m.
