Ajax MPP Rob Cerjanec has launched a petition calling on the province to build a Highway 412 interchange at Rossland Road in Ajax, according to his official petition page.

Cerjanec argues a new interchange would reduce traffic congestion and make Lake Ridge Road safer. He says an exit to Rossland Road was already approved in the Highway 407 East Environmental Assessment Study but was deferred.

The petition asks the province to build the interchange, conduct a traffic study, eliminate bottlenecks and improve traffic flow on Highway 401 through Ajax and Durham Region, according to the MPP's petition page.
