The Town of Ajax is promoting the third episode of the election-season run of its TOA Talks podcast, 'Close to Home: Why Municipal Elections Matter,' sharing it on the town's official Instagram account on October 21, according to the town's TOA Talks page.

The episode explores the roles of the mayor, councillors and school board trustees, what municipal governments are responsible for — from roads and parks to recreation — and how a vote helps shape the community's future.

Season four is hosted by Devon Jarvis, the town's manager of communications and engagement, and features conversations with members of Ajax's election team and other town staff. Other episodes cover how and when to vote, election security, and what happens once votes are counted.

Ajax residents can vote online or by telephone through election day, Monday, October 26.
