Rumih Reddy, a five-year-old from Ajax with Level 3 autism, is one of five finalists in Stan Lee's Super Kid 2026, the Ajax News Advertiser reports, after advancing through every round of the contest so far from a field of 134 children across North America.
The winner will be transformed into their own superhero identity, star in a new Stan Lee Universe comic book and take home $25,000. Rumih's parents, Militha Komireddy and Rakesh Reddy, say the contest is a chance to show that autism is often a hidden disability, noting someone recently used the r-word about him in public.
Everyone can vote free once every 24 hours, and adults can also purchase extra votes; voting closes Oct. 22 at 10 p.m. The contest is run by The Stan Lee Foundation to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
