Oshawa man charged in counterfeit currency investigation

Dwain Glover, 43, of Oshawa is charged with fraud and uttering counterfeit money after a DRPS Financial Crimes Unit investigation. Allegations have not been proven in court.

On February 22, 2026, the suspect hired a taxi in Oshawa and asked to be taken to a local convenience store, according to DRPS. While inside the store, he used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase, then re-entered the taxi and paid the fare with a second counterfeit $100 bill.

On September 29, 2026, the male was located and arrested without incident. Dwain Glover, age 43, of Oshawa, is charged with fraud under $5,000 (two counts) and uttering counterfeit money (two counts). He was held for a bail hearing.
